Where are we ?

Look around. Thats something people don't do too much anymore. Have you ever looked around in a crowded subway, Monday morning and noticed that 1% of people of reading a "newspaper" ? that 1%  of people can be described as "old school" or a thing of the ancient times nowadays. Look around at the 99% of others. If your part of this 99% of people, chances are your probably not looking around as I have asked because you are probably digging your eyes more and more as you read this. Let's face it, an average person nowadays is always on their phone, no matter where they are. This is the future. Some may accept it and some may not, regardless we are here. Technology has grown so fast over the past few years that it's almost frightening but also pretty amazing. It has shown us how great the human race is at using 7% of their brains.

Having a phone is pretty much become such a norm that it's a necessity. Technology has become so detailed and specific that people need to consider a lot before purchasing their next phone. For example, people need a certain size screen to watch their movies, people don't want to spend too much money, people need a good keyboard for the excessive daily texting or a good camera to capture any moment. ANY MOMENT AT ALL. These are all aspects people consider because there are so many options in their way and certain values that they consider. Classic economics, the more demand, the more fun the companies have. Because companies are charging such excessive prices for these phones, people tend to rethink their whole life before getting one. Weird thing is, it doesn't take them that much time because some people switch phones faster then they switch clothes.

People have got so used to paying such high prices for phones that are so limited, that they don't know what else is out there. There is something out there.

iPhone and uSlave

Apple's iPhone is probably the phone that is the most recognized right now in this world. The way Apple has designed and marketed their iPhone's have people so dedicated to their product that some of them have forgot other phones exist. However, if you have realized Apple has a lot of enemies that have been battling them out in this war of technology.
Apple’s massive iPhone 6 Plus, meanwhile, is the company’s first truly big phone. And although it’s a device we love, we still think it can definitely improve. Still, the 5.5-inch 1080p screen is stunning, the camera takes some amazing images, and iOS remains one of the strongest mobile operating systems available, and is getting even stronger now that Apple has opened it up to third-party developers.

If you’re platform agnostic, choosing a new phone can be like choosing a favorite child; it’s the kind of decision you make after hours and hours of research. Over the last few months, we’ve seen some really incredible devices, all of which offer their own unique features and designs. You might buy the LG G3 for its 2K display, or the HTC One (M8) because of its premium design. But what if you don’t want either of those?

What if you want a phone that is a flagship phone, priced like you have never seen before and fits in to the perfect norm of having a smartphone ?

Flagship Killer OnePlus One

But there’s another device people are excitedly talking about, a dark horse that’s rising from the smartphone ether, and it’s already showing tremendous promise. Maybe you’ve heard of it? The OnePlus One is this year’s so-called “flagship killer,” and it has many mobile nerds gawking.

Put out by Chinese company OnePlus, the device promises to be a no-compromise savior with a bold “never settle” philosophy. “‘Never Settle’ is about understanding our users’ root problems and making the best product decisions to solve them,” OnePlus says. “It’s not about tipping the scale toward one extreme end, but rather finding how to create the best day to day experience.”

That day to day experience OnePlus speaks of is without question among the best out there. Aside from a few small quibbles, I’d actually recommend this over the current crop of existing Android juggernauts. Not only is it a terrific device, but it’s cheap as heck; cheaper than the Nexus 5 even, which is one of the most affordable handsets available.

It’s such a shame, then, that OnePlus so severely bungled the One’s launch. Even now, a few months removed from the device’s initial announcement, the One still isn’t available to purchase publicly. As a result, the image of one of the most promising devices has been negatively affected. For many, the early damage can’t be undone.

The big selling point of this product is the fact its a flagship phone with a starting price of $299. When people first hear this, they automatically believe the phone is nothing fancy and using cheap materials but surprisingly it has been designed just as premium phone that feels almost better then your average phone.

With a 5.5 inch 1080p screen, the OnePlus One stands tall in the new fad of having a really big phone for the daily usage of technology. Although certain people with small hands may take some time to get used to the but not too long.

Can it keep up ?

Although the OnePlus 1 came into the market with a bang, developed popularity quickly and had more demand then supply, the real question that lies is, can their product continue to thrive ? Looking at how fast technology is moving and how advanced some of these competitors are, OnePlus will need to beef up their hardware on their product if they want to take a lead and keep it. When people hear about the OnePlus 1 and what it has to offer for such a great price, they are sold instantly. But a customer will only be satisfied if they feel they have spent their money the right way. Apple iPhones come out with 2 software updates in a week and they build their phones strong before they send them out to war, but only for a short period of time.

The flagship killer has made its mark, now its time to stay like stain.
